Affordable Gift Fair

I was showing and selling my prints and pictures at the Affordable Gift Fair in the Royal Marine Heel, Dun Laoghaire, Ireland on Sunday last, 20th December 2011. There was a good turn out of visitors and stand holders. There was an excellent range of gifts there including, Christmas logs with candles, scarves, candles, jewellery, art, hand bags, cosmetics, pottery, cup cakes, soaps, jigsaws, photography, slate mirrors, bean bags, ceramics, copper pieces, crochet, glass, knitting, soap and some crafts. 
It will be taking place again on the 11th December, in the same place between 10 am and 5 pm. See you there.

This video of Steve Jobs address to Stanford University students has a lot of wisdom in it. If you have 15 minutes to spare it is worth watching.

Design Shed Launch

The Design Shed Launch party took place on Friday evening, 22 July, in the Blackrock market, in Dublin, Ireland. There was a good crowd there with wine and foodie bits flowing. There were about fourteen artists and crafts people’s work on display in the Design Shed., ranging from jewellery, knitting, photography, painting and digital art. There was a raffle in aid of Bray Cancer Centre where the tickets were sold out.

The photo below shows the raffle process. On the left is Nick Roche, owner of the Blackrock Market, choosing the tickets with Derek Lyons and Anne-Louise McDermott, of the Design Shed, handling the tickets and prize giving.

Design Shed Ireland Launch

Design Shed Ireland would like to invite you all to their official opening night on Friday 22nd at 7pm. They are in the front of Blackrock Market on Blackrock Main Sreet, Co. Dublin.

It will be great for meeting the artists and crafts people and pick up a handmade gift.

There will be wine and of course a raffle with some great prizes.

Design Shed Ireland

Last week I mentioned the Design Shed in the Blackrock Market. I called in over the weekend and created this five minute video to give you a better idea of how it looks and where it is.

Design Shed Ireland opens for business, artists and crafters.

In the Blackrock Market in south Co. Dublin, Ireland, a new venture opened to help shoppers easily find good artwork and well made Irish craft work. The Design Shed Ireland has space for up to 18 crafts people and artists.

You can find some of my work there and with a special offer where you get the folder, Journey of Soul of 12 images, free if you buy any of my prints. Not only will you be getting a piece of art which helps you connect to your inner self where you can find joy and happiness you can also enjoy the story and images of The Journey of Soul.

If you want a spot in this brand new, completely refurbished gallery you can book in with Derek or Anne-Louise at The Design Shed Ireland. They are almost full for this coming weekend but you can go on a waiting list if you have good quality work which will appeal to the visitors of the Blackrock market.

Happy Independence Day

Today is a reminder that we all have a right to our own independence. Independence to live as we wish, do as we wish and love as we wish, provided we don’t encroach on others or their property and do what we say we will do.

It is also a reminder that we have a right to be independent of the things of this world. Our attachments to material things, to people, memories, feelings and logical stuff. We have a right to strive for our independence of spirit to reconnect with our true happy loving selves, Soul.

If we can connect with Soul we will truly be independent and happy.

Arty Party

If you didn’t get to the Arty Party over the weekend of the 10^th to 12^th June this 5 minute video will walk you through the exhibition of pictures. With the music of Rodney Jones to accompany us, it is like a spiritual experience. Enjoy.

Arty Party Success

We had the Arty Party over the weekend with several people coming along each day. The demonstration of how I create the pictures was very well received. I used the picture Glimpse of God (which is on the right in the photo above) as an example of how I work. From the initial inspiration from Gabriel Ezutha’s book, Trail of Immortality, through the creation of the initial rough sketches and to the final image. I showed the software and equipment I use and how it works.
Next week I hope to have a video of the exhibition so those of you who couldn’t make it will get an Idea of the Arty Party.
